ONE Championship fuels growth by levering on social media

Social media has become the ultimate platform to connect with various of people all over the world. Mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion, ONE Championship, has been utilising this medium to reach out to a wider audience and promote its name. Thus, it has resulted in the drastic increase in the exposure of ONE Championship from its social media reach.
The MMA promotion has improved its branding and engagement with the fans through strategic use of social media, including common platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
It has boosted its social media numbers significantly in over two years. In 2016, ONE Championship was reported that they have made an increase of 1,134% from their total reach of 75 million in 2014 to 926 million. Additionally, an outstanding jump in their total impressions was announced in 2016 with a 268% growth, from 352 million impressions in 2014 to a notable result of 1.3 billion impressions.
On Facebook, their videos accumulated 312,000 views in 2014, which rocketed to an exceptional number of 130 million views two years later. Last year, their total number of shares amounted to 454,000 from a humble figure of 16,000 in 2014. These results signified the extent of the power from using social media that placed ONE Championship as the largest and leading sports media property in Asia.
