A new made-in-Singapore game show will be accompanying us every Monday evening come February 2017. The new show – Cash Struck! is a joint production between Endemol Shine Asia and Mediacorp. The deal marks the first co-production between Mediacorp and Endemol Shine Asia who are jointly developing and will further produce Cash Struck! in Singapore.
Endemol Shine Asia has previously licensed global formats The Money Drop, Deal or No Deal and Minute to Win It to Mediacorp and have also successfully rolled out formats such as Big Brother, Your Face Sound Familiar, Fear Factor and The Brain across the region.
Cash Struck! will be airing on Mediacorp Channel 5 every Monday 7.30pm, premiering on 6 February 2017. With a total of 26 episodes, the game show will be bringing the fun and excitement of a mobile game app to TV screens.
In each episode, contestants (in teams of two), pit their skills to guess a word that links two pictures, earning tokens on the giant digital screen. Each team stands to win up to S$10,000 in cash. The hour-long show appeals to people of all ages and is ideal for family viewing.
