ONE Championship’s women’s atomweight champion Angela Lee has been nominated for the World MMA (mixed martial arts) Awards for the second year running. ONE Championship won in the Best Live Sports Coverage category at the 21st Asian Television Awards last month.
The 20-year-old Singapore-based fighter trains at Evolve MMA. This is her second year to be nominated for the award, alongside Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC’s) women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Cris Cyborg, a two-time winner of the award, and Australian fighter Angela Hill.
Angela Lee holds a perfect 6-0 professional MMA win-loss record since making her debut in 2015. Her next fight will be against Taiwanese fighter Jenny Huang at a ONE Championship event in Bangkok on 11 March.
