Asia’s Got Talent set to return to AXN
The programme won "Best Adaptation of an Existing Format" at the 20th Asian Television Awards.

Asia’s Got Talent is set to return to AXN for a Season 2 as Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia announced a multi-year agreement with FreemantleMedia and Syco Entertainment – co-producers and owners of the Got Talent franchise, the latter established by Simon Cowell, to the rights for a new season.
Billed as the biggest talent show in the world, Asia’s Got Talent has broken several records with Season 1 setting new ratings records for the English general entertainment (GE) genre during its run, taking AXN to the number one spot in its timeslot among all regional pay-TV channels collectively across Southeast Asia and Taiwan. In Malaysia and the Philippines, Asia’s Got Talent was the highest rated entertainment series on English language channels on Astro in the past two years and highest rated pay-TV program in the country since 2008 respectively.
Additionally, the show won “Best Adaptation of an Existing Format” at the 2015 Asian Television Awards.
Auditions will be held in various cities throughout Asia in the coming months with the premiere of Asia’s Got Talent Season 2 slated for the second half of the year.
