Korean romantic-fantasy drama – Goblin, ended its run on a high note with two back-to-back episodes on Saturday, 21 January. The series managed to outshine previous records by tvN, registering an impressive viewership rating of 19.6 per cent based on TNms.
The series has now been crowned as the highest rated tvN drama, pushing former top grosser Reply 1988 out of the top spot. Additionally, it hit the top 3 most watched videos on video-streaming platform Viu.
Goblin premiered on tvN last year on 2 December with a rather interesting plot circling around a “Dokkaebi” (Goblin) possessing an immortal life. The drama stars Gong Yoo as the “Dokkaebi” Kim Shin as well as Kim Go Eun as Ji Eun Tak and Lee Dong Wook as the Angle of Death – Wang Yeo.
The show also broke several records in its premiere week, including some of Descendants of the Sun‘s, which we covered here.
