Viacom International Media Networks’ global kids brand Nickelodeon has announced their collaboration with Asia’s first underwater resort developer, Coral World Park Undersea Resorts Inc., to establish the World’s first undersea attraction in the Philippines. The new undersea attraction and resort will be part of the Coral World Park (CWP), which is a 400-hectare undersea-themed development in Western Philippine province of Coron, Palawan.
The development of the new undersea attraction marks another step towards Nickelodeon’s growth and influence in Asia, following behind the establishment of the first Nickelodeon theme park in Asia, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, at Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia early last year.
It is planned for the resort’s accommodation to take up 70 hectares and 30 hectares set aside for the themed attraction. This attraction and resort, inspired by popular Nickelodeon’s icons, will promote ocean protection among the visitors.
The undersea-themed resort will deliver a sensational experience for the diners at CWP’s underwater restaurants and lounges, that is located around 20 feet below sea level. Guests are able to enjoy the extraordinary ocean view with the company of their loved ones and exquisite dishes.
The World’s first undersea attraction will be located amidst a cluster of 16 white sand islands of the CWP. Visitors are expected to have a multi-island experience within the park, such as island hopping, hidden lagoons, hot springs, an animal reserve and world-class diving amidst shipwrecks. Starting in 2018, CWP will begin its opening phases.
