New Nickelodeon channel to launch on OTT in 2018
Titles such as "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Dora The Explorer" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" will be offered.

Viacom, an American multinational media conglomerate, has announced the launch of a new Nickelodeon linear channel via ‘over-the-top’ (OTT) and mobile platforms in Japan due to the success of MTV-branded OTT channels in the country.
This is the first time a Nickelodeon-branded subscription TV channel will be available only via streaming services internationally. The new channel will be launched in the first quarter of 2018 on Japanese OTT platform dTV-Channel, a subscription service offered by NTT DOCOMO, INC. Iconic animation titles such as “SpongeBob SquarePants”, “Dora The Explorer” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” will be offered in the the subscription-based linear channel.
