Nickelodeon Asia acquires rights for three animated shorts in Asia

The programmes will be aired on Nickelodeon Asia’s channel from end October.

Nickelodeon Asia has acquired exclusive Pay-TV and non-exclusive Video on Demand (VOD) rights to three animated shorts in Southeast Asia – “Cracké”, “Monster in a Box” and “OUTOPUS”. These shorts will be aired on Nickelodeon Asia’s channel from end October, while selected episodes will be available on the Nickelodeon Play app in Singapore this December.

Cracké, a 3D animated comedy series produced by Squeeze Studio Animation in Québec City, Canada, while the other two, “Monster in a Box” and “OUTOPUS”, are 2D animated shorts distributed by Monster Entertainment.

In addition, Nickelodeon has also greenlit Sharkdog, its first animated short-form series from Asia, originating out of the 2015 edition of the annual Nickelodeon’s Global Animated Shorts Programme.
