Star-studded Affair at the 22nd Asian Television Awards The highly anticipated stellar event of the year will see Asia’s biggest and brightest stars gracing the red carpet.


Nominated for ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’, Mediacorp’s Ah Jie, Zoe Tay and Felicia Chin are among the star-studded list of celebrities set to hit the red carpet alongside ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ nominee, Hasnul Rahmat. Rising stars Jayler, fondly known as JJ among fans and Oab from Thailand, both in the running to pick up ‘Best Actor in a Supporting Role’ award are also making an appearance at this glitzy affair.

Other celebrities also gracing this grand event include Aleeyah Nabilah and Krissy Jesudason who are up for ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’; Sani Hussin and Zhu Hou Ren vying for ‘Best Actor in a Supporting Role’; Mediacorp’s Nurul Aini, Chua En Lai, Alaric Tay, Oon Shu An, R.Chandran, and Kishan. J, nominated for ‘Best Comedy Performance by an Actor/Actress’; Quan Yi Feng and Yvette King nominees under ‘Best Entertainer Presenter/ Host’ category; and Rebecca Leow who is nominated for ‘Best Scripting for Web Programme/ Series’.

Joining the nominees for the event are stars of Mediacorp’s Tanglin, Jae Liew and Nat Ho; and Thai actors Mick Tongraya (Mik) and Stephany Auernig, among many others in the grand list of celebrities gracing the awards ceremony.

Vietnam’s latest boy group The Air has been confirmed to perform at the 22nd Asian Television Awards. They will be performing for the first time in Singapore during the “live” televised segment of the awards ceremony, to be held on 1 December 2017, since their debut in their home country Vietnam recently.

The band from Vietnam is a new and latest addition to the already star-studded list of international performers at this year’s Asian Television Awards; including award winning Indonesian pop-singer and actor, Afgansyah; Sing! China finalist, Joanna Dong from Singapore; Taiwanese singer-songwriter and actor, Bii; Korean singer-actor, best known as the host of popular variety show – ‘Running Man’, Kim Jong-Kook; and renowned international electronic artist, GG Magree, who will also be performing for the first time in Singapore.

The Air comprises of five multi-talented singer-songwriters – Qlin, Him, Lu An, Kim Yi Sang and Eight.D. The latest pop sensation will be performing their first single titled “Dung Hen Uoc”, released on 12 November 2017 in Vietnam. On top of writing their own materials, the quintet is also talented in playing various music instruments during their performances. They have since achieved great milestone within the Vietnam music scene, achieving YouTube Silver Play Button for their YouTube channel THE AIR with over 145,000 subscribers.
