Inaugural International Children VR Film Fest to launch in Hong Kong
This year, Animation-Comic-Game is collaborating with VR Educate to launch the 1st International Children VR Film Fest at the Hong Kong Convention Centre. From 27 to 31 July, VR short films from 9 countries and territories will be screened.

HONG KONG – This year, Animation-Comic-Game (ACGHK) is collaborating with VR Educate to launch the 1st International Children VR Film Fest at the Hong Kong Convention Centre.
From 27 to 31 July, VR short films from 9 countries and territories including China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Russia, Spain, USA and Australia will be screened.
The best of award-winning VR short films include USA’s Baobab Studio’s 2017 Daytime Emmy Award winner Invasion!, Taiwan’s Studio 2 Animation Lab’s 2017 Gold Remi Award winner, Barkley and Friends, and Australia’s 2017 St Kilda Film Festival opening VR film Before the Junk Age.
Ms Lanny Huang, Founder and CEO of VR Educate said: “VR films are the best story tellers that bring children and families to immerse into another world, and imaginative places. We are so thrilled to show the best of the World’s VR short films here at the Film Fest.”
In attendance at the press conference held by ACGHK at the InnoCentre Hong Kong, were ambassadors and national karate winners Justin Muk and Athena Yu, as well as Hong Kong Guide Dog’s Association (HKGDA)’s trainer Garrick Poon with their Labrador Gaga and owner Gary Leung.
